About
Gideon
Gideon Enok has traveled the world since 2010 and has lived in several countries, including the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, Slovakia, and Spain. He has walked over 7,000 km with a backpack and considers himself a pilgrim on a lifelong pilgrimage.
He is the author of The Pilgrim Spirit, which is about a five-month walk through Europe during the 2020 worldwide pandemic, which transformed his life in many different ways...
An interesting link to this journey started a couple of years before. At the end of 2018, Gideon wrote down a bucket list of over 100 things he wanted to learn, experience, accomplish, and places he wanted to visit, as well as people he wanted to meet.
At the top of the list was the desire to have dinner with his favorite author, Gregory David Roberts, who is the author of the international bestselling book Shantaram. It was an impossible task at the time because he was no longer in public life.
Nevertheless, Gideon kept believing and often looked for when Gregory got online again. As fate would have it, Gregory came back online and into public life during Gideon's walk through Europe. Gregory's assistant reached out to him during the first couple of months of the walking adventure when she saw he had subscribed as one of the first.
Since Gideon documented the long Camino trek, Gregory's assistant began following the journey. And when the long walk was over, Gideon and Gregory found each other and amplified the maxim that when the student is ready, the teacher will appear, the starting point for how the work and book The Pilgrim Spirit began and manifested.
And a few years later, when the finishing touches were made on the book, Gideon was in Finisterre again, and on one of the many walks toward the 0.0 km marker at the lighthouse and the End of the World, he laid eyes on K, found true love, and they are still together.
Gideon still travels and currently lives everywhere.
